The Head Of Finance will play a lead role in the Family Office operation, in the provision of a broad array of confidential financial / accounting services to shareholder family members. The position will be responsible for the accounting, reporting, tax, treasury, banking, acquisition and other needs of a growing family office. You will work alongside the Vice President and the Operations Manager towards developing, comprehensive reporting for a number of investment platforms as well as monitoring and reporting mechanisms for client investments. The Office specialises in both wealth management and wealth preservation being responsible for executing the family’s investment strategies. The main areas of investment are in financial services, real-estate, treasury, and accounts. You will be the family “go to” person in connection with all their Global personal financial needs and requirements.

Key responsibilities include:
*Be able to converse with senior operating executives across the global businesses portfolio in order to gain insight into trends, explanations about variances from budget and other information about strategy and key events.
*Provision of all accounting and finance related duties for the portfolio.
*Financial reporting due diligence and investment appraisals of new acquisitions.
*Assisting in preparing the annual budget for the family office.
*Preparation of day-to-day accounting transaction, appraise information, intercompany reconciliations with all regions.
*Tax compliance and planning – within this capacity you will oversee the filing of personal tax returns and act as the ‘in‐house’ advisor on various individual and corporate tax related issues.
*Ensure that family clients are receiving relevant, accurate and timely reporting on all of their personal affairs.
*Ensure that all expenditures are properly authorised and that appropriate internal financial controls are in place and being followed.
*Be able to work concurrently on a number of projects, prioritise deliverables and keep all important initiatives moving forward.
*Import/Export; be able to show a level of understanding of the tax implications when shipping family possessions and new purchases to multiple international sites.
*Reporting, be comfortable working in an environment where written and numerical reports are expected on a weekly basis.

The successful applicant will be a qualified accountant with first class academics and have demonstrable experience within both Commercial and Operational finance. Essential will be strong communication skills and an understanding on how to operate in a highly confidential manner where the up most of discretion is utilised at all times. In addition to this, working with the family and the management team along with the ability to ‘tell the story’ from a financial perspective in a concise and effective manner, adapted for the audience will be of paramount importance. Previous experience of working within Financial Services / Investment Banking / Wealth Management / Practice would be desirable.
