Our client, a FTSE 100 subscription based technology organisation is in the process of building a Group Business Intelligence team in order to support the divisional finance functions. The purpose of this team will be to ensure that the Finance leadership team has the right information, analysis and insight to help the business achieve its strategic goals. This important new role is both strategic and technical in nature and will become a focal point in the new Group BI team.

You will be responsible for:
*Leading the design and delivery of a Reporting, Tools and Data strategy and roadmap that transforms how BI is delivered across Finance.
*Developing new metrics, reporting and applications to improve understanding of performance
*Leading a programme to rationalise and automate the legacy reporting landscape.
*Establishing governance practises & processes to manage the Finance information catalogue.
*Growing and motivating the team, setting direction and pace, establishing standards and principles for delivery and engagement.
*Lead the development and implementation of a BI reporting and tools strategy and roadmap that transforms the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of BI delivery across Finance.
*Establish and lead a programme to rationalise and automate legacy reporting, working closely with the Shared Services and Technology functions to ensure cost-effective delivery.
*Lead the standardisation of reporting across Finance, setting design principles to achieve a common look and feel and an improved end-user experience.

The successful applicant will be: An experienced leader of BI in a large subscription based organisation, with a strong track record of driving operational improvement from the delivery of insightful, well-presented outputs. You will be a commercially astute storyteller, comfortable discussing how operational performance is impacting financial performance across the P&L and the component drivers of those trends. Essential to this role will be the ability to understand the reporting and data best practice along with market-leading BI tools (e.g. SQL, Power BI, SAP, Qlik)
